The Tampa Bay Lightning are continuing their success early in the 2018-19 season. They locked down another youngster, but there is still business to be done! Are Bryan and Bacon satisfied with the recent surge of production by Steven Stamkos after a slow start? Mathieu Joseph learns a tough early-career lesson from Milan Lucic.
7 Ottawa Senators players took an Uber ride in Arizona and held nothing back! We play clips from the now infamous YouTube video where the team gets a little too honest. Then, Bryan and Bacon remember the tenure of Joel Quenneville as Chicago Blackhawks Head Coach, along with comments from his former players. The segment ends with a seemingly excited position from a New York Rangers fan after their recent success. “Seemingly”. IS Bryan excited about the Blueshirts?
Orlando Solar Bears leading scorer Hunter Fejes joins the show to talk about the teams recent 2 game home/home sweep of the Florida Everblades and the solidifying of the defensive play of the team. Also, Fejes give an insight to the differences between the AHL and ECHL game. Then we focus on Hunter’s time at the “Harvard for Hockey”, Shattuck St. Mary’s in Minnesota, what the experience there did for his game, and the ongoing impact it has on his life and career.

Welcome to Hockey Now!, Central Florida’s home for Hockey Talk! Hockey Now! is a new show on the iHeartRadio network based in Orlando, FL! Bryan Sklover and Walt Bacon turn their mic’s on together for the first time to talk hockey! The guys remember the Orlando Solar Bears playoff run of 2018 and look at the affiliation between the Solar Bears and Tampa Bay Lightning. We’ll hear comments from Lighting Head Coach Jon Cooper and Brayden Point on their thoughts playing in Orlando for a preseason matchup between the Lightning and Florida Panthers. Walt begs Former GM Steve Yzerman to stay involved with the team, and not flee to the potentially bad Detroit Red Wings. The guys round out the test show talking about the Carolina Hurricanes bringing back the Hartford Whalers uniforms (along with a gratiutious playing of the “Brass Bonanza”) – and also touch on their own personal favorite teams, Bryan’s New York Rangers and Walt’s Chicago Blackhawks.
